That’s probably because Bernie wasn’t very special .
In fact, he couldn’t really do anything at all.
And Santa had a hard time finding anything for him to do.

Bernie didn’t like to be outside.

He can help to make Christmas dinner.
But Bernie liked to eat.

But Bernie liked to talk.
In fact, he talked all the time.

People are always calling.
I think Bernie would be perfect.
And now Bernie’s the new telephone guy.
