Clay Faces Emotions Game
A fun game for practicing feelings and emotions.
This game accompanies the H.A.P.P.Y. song from Sing and Play Purple.
Prepare the Game: Glue the backing sheets to the other side of the faces and cards pages, laminate, and cut out. Be sure to print enough sets of boy and girl faces that you have enough of each to satisfy your class. Pass a face of each kid’s choice out, and take one for yourself. You will also need some Play-doh or comparable playing clay or putty.
Play the Game: Select an emotion card at random and use the clay or putty to model a face that expresses that emotion. This is a great opportunity to practice emotion-related vocabulary and Q/A, as well as facial feature vocabulary such as eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows, and so on.
